The Nurturing Maid exists because every family deserves the kind of support I was lucky enough to have.
Hi, I'm Lauren.
I'm a mom of four — including twins. I know what postpartum looks like from every angle. When my twins arrived, I was blessed with an incredible village. People showed up. They did the dishes, folded the laundry, and made sure I could rest and recover. That support changed everything for me.
With my other two, I didn't have that same level of help — and the difference was night and day. I remember staring at a sink overflowing with bottles at 3 AM, stepping over laundry piles, and feeling like I was drowning in it all.
Living both sides made me realize something: not every mom has the village I was lucky to have. And every mom deserves one.
Why The Nurturing Maid exists
The Nurturing Maid was born out of deep appreciation for the people who showed up for me — and the realization that so many moms don't have that. I wanted to bring that same feeling of support to other families. The relief of someone walking through your door, not to judge the mess, but to quietly take care of it.
I needed someone who would walk softly so the baby wouldn't wake. Someone who wouldn't flinch at the pile of pump parts in the sink. Someone who understood that a messy house during postpartum isn't a character flaw — it's just survival.
So I started The Nurturing Maid. Not just another cleaning company — but a way to be part of someone else's village. A service built by a mom who's been there, designed around the way postpartum life actually looks.
We clean quietly. We move gently. We start away from sleeping babies. We handle the bottles, the laundry, the mess — so you can rest, recover, and actually enjoy your baby.

Lauren
I've lived in Alaska going on 7 years but am originally from the North East (Pennsylvania). I am a Wife, Mother, Seamstress, Business Owner and Nurturing Maid! In my free time I enjoy spending my days with family & friends, exploring and creating! I am a huge lover of music, nature and the arts!
Apart from being a Seamstress, I've found a deep love & purpose working as a Nurturing Maid. I am a firm believer in community & that it does in fact take a village! I am beyond grateful to be a part of the village Lauren has created!
My goals are simple: help where help is needed & go where I am called! With Nurturing Maid, I look forward to making a difference in your day to day! 🩷

I was raised in McGrath until I graduated high school. I currently live in Wasilla and am a 911 dispatcher for the City of Palmer.
I decided to join this organization because the mission statement really spoke to me and felt like it was another way I could help out the communities that I live in. Being a mom of two teenage boys, I know how stressful motherhood, life and even postpartum can be.
I know that it can be difficult to ask for help — and that it truly takes a village in life to help make things go smoothly. I have been lucky enough to have that help and I'd love to be able to help others in those moments.
Maddie
I've lived in Alaska my entire life. I love the outdoors and anything related to being outside, especially in the sunshine — but fall is my favorite time of year. I have a deep care for animals and always have.
In my free time, I like to paint, read, or listen to a funny podcast while I clean up a little.
I'm excited to join this team because it provides people with the chance to reduce their stress. I love helping others, and I believe this team, along with myself, is dedicated to doing just that.
